MY

GAMES

Tabletop Roleplaying Games aren’t exclusively about the familiar dragons, elves, swords & sorcery we know and love from Lord of the Rings and other fantasy epics! Below are just a sampling of other TTRPGs I offer at discounted rates. Look below and see if something catches your eye!

ALIEN

Based on the terrifying sci-fi films, Alien the Roleplaying Game weaves stories in which you play humans trying to survive in a fully-detailed universe of body horror and corporate brinkmanship, where synthetic people play god while space truckers and marines serve host to newborn ghoulish creatures. With deadly enemies and mechanics for escalating panic, Alien evokes the fear of the horror film genre better than any other game. As characters die, they are replaced by other survivors, and everyone has a secret mission that may be at odds with the goals of other characters. It’s a harsh and unforgiving universe, and you are nothing if not expendable. Stay alive if you can.

CALL OF CTHULHU

Set in the 1920s, Call of Cthulhu is a horror game in which ordinary humans investigate an occult mystery, which as it is solved will escalate into the realm of ancient, otherworldly madness. Like a horror movie, survival is far from guaranteed, and often the challenges faced will mean that not all of the investigators will make it to the end of the story alive— at least, not with their sanity still intact. Failure could spell a doom beyond comprehension for you, the world, or even reality itself. But as you solve this mystery, what price will you pay for truth? What will you lose in the eternal struggle between sanity and curiosity?

CLOUD EMPRESS

An expansive fantasy campaign setting inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s manga and anime film Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind, Cloud Empress places you in a world ruled by the patterns of giant magical cicadas. Thousands of years in the future, you and your companions must right the wrongs which the ancient people of old world inflicted upon the land, and learn to live in balance with a beautiful new earth which is still fragile, not to mention the civilizations and insects which have grown in the ancient ruins.

DRAGONBANE

A classic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game and great D&D alternative, Dragonbane is a game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. It is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are quick and action-packed. While games like Pathfinder add more mechanical “crunch” to your sessions, Dragonbane streamlines play for exciting, fast-paced adventure that harkens back to classic D&D with all the advancements of modern narrative play.

DUNE

Based on the famous sci-fi novels and new film trilogy, the Dune TTRPG has a rich scifi setting of scheming and politics. You and your team will create your own noble House, and play as agents that include warriors, nobles, mentats, and even the mysterious Bene Gesserit as you vie for power in the deserts of Arrakis alongside the Atreides, Harkonnens, and other powerful forces. And he who controls the Spice, controls the universe…

ELDRITCH AUTOMATA

Inspired by psychological mecha stories like Pacific Rim and Neon Genesis Evangelion, in Eldritch Automata players take on the role of Pilots controlling massive mechsuits, using them to battle the Horrors that have nearly destroyed your post-apocalyptic Earth and the nightmarish Seraphs who command them. These creatures are a constant threat to your survival, and you will need to use all of your skills and wits to avoid or defeat them. You will also need the help and camaraderie of your team of fellow Pilots, both to fight and to keep your sanity!

GAMMA WORLD

A decidedly un-serious “science fantasy” game, Gamma World takes place in a wacky, comedic post-apocalyptic Earth. You play randomly-generated mutant survivors, sifting through the ruins of civilization for ancient laser guns and death machines, all while battling tribes of animal-people, mutants, robots, yetis, and cryptic factions who would seek to control this new world. Based off of the rules of D&D, Gamma World provides all the fun of a new game with a familiar ruleset!

MONSTER OF THE WEEK

Based on episodic TV series like Buffy, The X-Files, and Supernatural, Monster of the Week allows to you play modern-day characters trying to hunt down supernatural threats in modern urban environments, in a world where most people don’t know or believe that monsters exist. Every session is a new monster, and only by discovering the origins, powers, and weaknesses of the creature can you hope to overcome it and keep your friends and community safe for another day. This will take legwork, investigation, and carefully sifting the truth from the mythology.

NUMENERA

Numenera is set in a world where eight major civilizations have risen and fallen since our own. In their wake, a new world, the Ninth World, has risen. The people of the prior worlds are gone—scattered, disappeared, or transcended. But their works remain, in the places and devices that still contain some germ of their original function. The ignorant call them magic, but the wise know that these “numenera” are our legacy, and our future.

THE ONE RING

Set in the vivid world of Middle Earth, The One Ring goes back to the roots of fantasy and immerses players in a particular flavor of Tolkien’s storytelling. Play as a party of hobbits on a quaint and curious adventure through the Shire, or take on the role of dwarves, elves, and men questing on long, epic journeys on behalf of the Wise. Only the bravest and hardiest heroes may find themselves contending against the minions of the growing Shadow— and hope to avoid succumbing to the darkness themselves! Made for true fans of the books, for when there is simply no substitute.

PATHFINDER

A popular alternative to D&D, Pathfinder is a fantasy game with additional mechanics and complexity to add strategic layers of fun to the game! If you’ve been looking for a game with a different ruleset, I run both Pathfinder editions!

SPIRE

Spire is a mile-tall city built in an ancient steampunk tower. Once dark elves held the city, but the high elves conquered it 400 years ago and now rule over your people with cruelty and injustice. You take on the role of a crew of dark elf revolutionaries, sellswords, artists, blood-witches, and freedom fighters, operating from the shadows to undermine the individuals and systems which oppress your people. But can you save the city, or does Spire need to fall before it can be rebuilt? Will you free your people without doing worse to them than their current masters? Can you use the tools of your enemy without becoming them?

STAR WARS

There are few sci-fi settings so open to exploration as the Star Wars universe. Play in any era, creating your own Star Wars character (scoundrels, soldiers, Jedi) and content with crime lords, Imperial agents, and even the Dark Side itself!

VAST GRIMM

Vast Grimm is a rules-lite sci-fi horror TTRPG set in a dying universe. In this alternate dark future, the Earth has broken into fragments which its survivors must cling to desperately and try their best to stay alive. A black shroud called The Grimm, parasitic “würms” who possess and transform their hosts, is smothering all life throughout the universe. The end is near for a humanity, unless they can find a way to escape to a parallel universe. This game is as comedic as it is twisted, with gross surprises around every corner and a high casualty rate for characters. Often some characters will die and new characters get created in a single session!

WARHAMMER

For fans of the grimdark sci-fi Warhammer 40k universe, this is a truly badass setting that meshes ancient fantasy with the bloody future of the 41st Millennium. War is eternal in the Imperium of Man, and the rogue traders, techpriests, inquisitors, and space marines who protect those loyal subjects of the God-Emperor are beset on all sides by the malign influences of the mutant, the xenos, the traitor, and the heretic. Fight the power of dark gods, or wield them for yourself as you try to kindle what little light you can in this dark universe. Perfect for fans of the miniature wargame, the multimedia Warhammer brand, or who are just curious about this popular setting!
